Is the idea of hosting Christmas at your home dauting? Do you want to make sure everything is perfect? (Not only your Christmas Dinner, but your home too!) Many people forget that adding a touch of artwork or mirrors to your interior walls makes all the difference. All you need are a few picture hooks or nails!
Here are a couple of quick fixes..
1. The bigger, the better..
First impressions count, and your entrance halls needs to have the wow factor and set the style for the rest of your home. I always think a console table, and a large mirror above adds impact. A large mirror can create the sense of space, making a small space feel much bigger.
As you can see.. we have used crates as an alternative to a console table! The perfect place to perch..
2. Personal, but not too personal..
A landing or hallway is a brilliant area to experiment with artwork. Hallways are sometimes completely forgotten about when it comes to interiors, it’s always important to add a touch of personality to them. The best way to do this is artwork – it doesn’t have to cost a fortune either! You can even use postcards from your favourite travel destinations! Family photographs add the personal touch, but prints are a great way to add a pop of interest, and personality too. Many magazines have beautiful cameos in them too, all you need is a pair of scissors – be creative and original! Just make sure they are all images you love, as they will be on display all the time and you will be walking past them a lot!
3. Lastly… Candles, candles, candles.
At Christmas time, never under estimate the impact candles can make on a Christmas night. They completely add to the cosiness, for you and your guests. They make a real impact when you make a feature out of them. You can get some beautiful ornate pieces, to put on the wall. Make those Christmas nights one for complete relaxation!
