Where did you get inspiration for the colour palette?

The development is set on the edge of a rural area, so I wanted to give a nod to to the countryside with the colour scheme.  I had also been inspired by the new range of colours by Farrow and Ball, and chose a palette from there as the basis of my scheme.  I combined the warm earthy tones with the shades of green and ochre to give each room some depth and personality – no magnolia box here!

How do you design a bedroom for an imaginary child?

I decided on a girl’s bedroom, and that lead me to take inspiration from my daughter!  What would she like in her dream bedroom?  How would I make it fun, but also able to grow up with her?  It’s important to stage a show home with real life in mind – children need a desk, toy storage and a place all their trinkets, so that is where I began.
