” We are so delighted with the final result – the finish on the wardrobes and the fluting detail really gave the room that bespoke feel. You have made such great use of the space and we now have so much storage, which is one thing we really wanted. “

Our client wanted to achieve a very calm atmosphere. So I chose to work on a single colour palette using texture and subtle patterns to give it some warmth and depth. I chose a hessian inspired wallpaper for the headboard wall – this gave the room warmth. Then layering wools, boucle and introducing a neutral berber carpet gave layers of textures and warmth.
The metal bed frame was staying, so in terms of layout, we were pretty restricted. We used bedside shelves with pendant lights instead of lamps – this gives uninterrupted use of the surfaces. Storage was the biggest concern so we designed built in wardrobes that would make full use of the tall ceilings. Sliding doors provided space saving access.
