The room came together really well. The acoustic wall with hidden LED lights is definitely an idea I will take forward on future projects.

That was certainly a challenge and 2 walls were entirely glass! I turned to the functionality of the brief – the client wanted a large TV and also to manage the acoustics in the room due to all the hard surfaces. So I decided to use oak acoustic panelling to create a feature wall, that would provide a stunning backdrop to the large screen TV while cleverly delivering some acoustic management. We also added tiny LED lighting strips for the parties in the evening!
I teamed this wall with some reeded glass cabinets in the bar area – so the continuity of the shapes and forms flowed around the room.
Snooker table was the main feature of the room. I didn’t want the room to feel like a commercial snooker hall, so I took the idea of the lights over the table and introduced 3 globe lights – this I feel gives a more homely feel but also delivers light without too much glare for those all important championship matches!
The LED strips in the feature wall were actually the client’s idea! We had never attempted this before, but with our skilled team, we managed to pull it off.
