Client Testimonial

”  I can’t tell you how happy we are with the house.  It’s just perfect and has your love, blood sweat and tears all over it!  We can never thank you enough for all that hard work.  ”

This was a period farmhouse, but your client likes modern interiors – how did you marry the two?

Marrying an old farmhouse with modern interiors is all about working with the architecture while refreshing the layers.   We had to preserve original elements like beams, stonework, and fireplaces which I contrasted with clean-lined furniture, soft neutral palettes, and contemporary lighting.   Blending rustic textures with modern silhouettes keeps the rooms warm yet current, while restrained styling prevents the home from feeling cluttered. The result is a timeless balance — cosy, elevated, and effortlessly livable.

What was the biggest challenge with the project

I think all the surprises that the property had in store for us.  It was an old property that had not been modernised for many years.  We knew we would have to completely rewire and install a new heating system, new kitchen and bathrooms and a complete redecoration.  There were other surprised like mice living between the floor boards which we had not planned for.  Once the house was completely stripped back and cleared, it then became easier to see the full extent of the work needed – and we got going!
