How did you decide on the layout of the newly formed room?

There were sloping ceilings on two walls which really informed the position of the shower, so we had enough height. Next we considered the main vista as you came into the room – the window – so we placed the vanity unit here, for maximum impact and light. We always position the wc’s away from the door so they are not the first thing you see! That left the bath – which again was a major feature, so that snuggled nicely on the main wall as you entered.

Why did you clad some walls with Tongue and Groove?

We wanted to make sure a newly plastered room still retained character. We already had the features of stone work and wooden lintel which we loved. Other areas in the house had Tongue and Groove panelling, so it seemed only right to bring in a touch of character from elsewhere in the property, to create a cohesive feel to the home.
