PRACTICAL YET BEAUTIFUL BOOT ROOM / UTILITY & SHOWER ROOM

A Boot Room, Utility and Shower Room – Heaven!

Lead Designer: Rosanna

The Brief

  • Create a laundry room for washing and hanging up clothes
  • Make use of space through clever storage solution – making use of every available area
  • Add warmth through colour and finishes such as new flooring, metals and paint
  • Coat and shoe storage
  • Replace worktop and install a new large Belfast sink

The Design Concept

What was the inspiration for the colour scheme?

The existing units in the large utility space were sage green. Because we were reconfiguring the space to allow for a Belfast sink, we had to install bespoke new cupboard doors and match the colour. I combined this with a stronger colour for the cabinetry in the boot room, I selected Farrow and Ball Calke Green. Using colours with the same tone meant that the rooms worked in harmony with one another and the whole space flowed.

Why did you add touches of brass to the scheme?

We replaced all of the handles, and added a statement brass pull out tap giving the room a transitional, but timeless new look! Brass adds a warmer feel compared to chrome and other metals and transforms the scheme from the ordinary to the very stylish!

It’s all in the detail

Client Testimonial

We tasked JT Interiors to design and project manage the overhaul of 5 rooms, including 3 bathrooms. The results were fantastic. The project management services were invaluable, as there were 9 trades to coordinate.
