We were asked to re-design a new tearoom for RAF Brize Norton to include a complete kitchen re-design, decoration, flooring, and furnishings. The original kitchen layout did not work well for so many users, the seating was uncomfortable and tired and the room generally had lost its appeal.

It is important that the interior space has a clear style, but at the same time must be durable and stand up the wear and tear of the users. We re-designed the kitchen, allowing for additional storage and integrated appliances for a less cluttered look. We also had to consider the continuous use of the kitchen, installing a grease trap to the sink, water softener and water heaters to cope with the demand of copious amounts of tea throughout the day!
We went for an industrial feel to suit the environment, using a combination of woods and black metals in the furnishings and added copper trim to the handle less cupboard doors.
Our contract kitchens are built for heavy duty contract use and come with a 10-year guarantee. The work tops are moisture resistant, cupboards have a high impact laminate on both sides, and hinges with withstand high levels of stress and use.
All the seating is made by our bespoke upholstery team who build for commerical use. The fabrics are not only great to look at, they have a high wear construction and are also stain and water resistant – so they stay looking as good as they did on day one!
